    Really happy with my experience using versus law, from start to finish they put my mind at ease as I wasn’t buying a house in the normal way, it was through a family divorce and there were time scales and dead lines to meet, versus law managed to conker my mortgage and speed things up to avoid any extra costs, nicola was always there to ease my mind when I had any concerns as things do get stressful whilst purchasing a property, the ladies on the reception we also a delight and couldn’t do more to make you feel comfortable in any situation, if you are thinking of using versus law to assist you through your mortgage then look no further as these guys couldn’t have done more for me, I couldn’t have been happier with my experience

    Today I have completed on the purchase of my very first apartment, and it just wouldn’t have been possible without the INCREDIBLE knowledge, guidance and GENUINE care of Nicola, Natalie, and the entire Versus Law team.

    This purchase was far from straightforward, with lots of potential pitfalls – all navigated with professionalism, patience and an impeccable attention to detail by Nicola.

    Nic went well above and beyond the call of duty to look into some extremely complex accounts and repair budgets to the apartment block in question – something I would have completely overlooked.

Holiday Sickness


If you have suffered from sickness whilst abroad, which resulted in you suffering discomfort and suffering and you missed out on the enjoyment of your holiday, then you may be entitled to compensation against the tour operator as well as out of pocket expenses.

In order to make a claim for holiday sickness, you need to have booked a package holiday within the last 3 years.

HOLIDAY CLAIMS

Many holidaymakers have successfully claimed compensation against the tour operator after falling ill on holiday. The most common cases (though not all) are caused by bacteria and are the result of breaching the basic principles of food hygiene, such as:

  • Not preparing and serving hot and cold food at the correct temperatures eg serving food meant to be hot only lukewarm, or cold food not being adequately chilled
  • lnadequate storage of food
  • Incorrect food handling
  • Contaminated packaging coming into contact with food
  • Inadequate cleaning of food preparation surfaces
  • Poor hygiene of food catering staff and not wearing gloves
  • Incorrect waste disposal
  • Food being left out for long periods/not being kept properly covered
  • Hotel restaurant and kitchen not being kept properly clean
  • Cross contamination by insects / animals

You may have suffered from food poisoning from bacterial or viral infection, which resulted in an illness which affected your holiday.

You may have experienced diarrhea, stomach cramps, vomiting and other symptoms which resulted in your holiday being disrupted..

WHO CAN YOU CLAIM AGAINST?

Your claim would be against the tour operator responsible for your holiday, if the illness was caused by food or drink served in the hotel restaurant, hotel bar, room service or as a result of consumption of food / water during a planned excursion booked through the tour operator representative at the hotel Welcome Meeting.

Due to your holiday sickness, you may be entitled to compensation for your illness, medical fees, cost of medicine, appointment travel costs and a portion of the cost of your ruined holiday and any loss of earnings or other out of pocket expenses resulting from your illness.

We work with experts who have many years of experience and rest assured we will work tirelessly, to make sure you get the compensation you are entitled to.

Anyone who has suffered from illness on holiday should seek urgent medical advice and keep a diary of the symptoms, as well as details of the effects, details of expenses and any medication taken as this will assist your case.

You will also be best advised to keep all details of the holiday booking and evidence of payment made so that we can contact the correct tour operator.

As long as your holiday was booked as part of a package holiday and you only ate and drank at the hotel or on an excursion organised and sold to you by the tour operator, then you may be entitled to compensation.

The process is simple but legally your tour operator has 6 months to investigate after acknowledging our letter of claim we will send on your behalf, but the claim but the investigation can be shorter but this will depend on the facts of the case.

As a guide cases can take anytime between 3-9 months to resolve, but this is an estimate and cases can take shorter or longer time to settle.
